Douglas A. McMillan has been the Chief Executive Officer at Cody Regional Health since June, 1997. Cody Regional Health is a large rural health care system that consists of a 25 bed CAH, 94 Bed Skilled/Intermediate Care LTCC, Cancer Center, 8 bed hospice house, 16 bed Chemical Dependency Center, and owns two large Medical Office Buildings in addition to 31% of a free standing surgical center. CRH has grown from a hospital with 20M annual net revenues to a health system with 100M net revenues in his 22 years as CEO with an increase in physicians from 20 to 60 on active medical staff. Doug started his career as CEO at age 23 in 1984 in Haxtun Hospital District, Haxtun, Colorado; and has served as CEO at Community Hospital, Torrington, Wyoming and Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, Glasgow, Montana prior to relocating to Cody. Doug received his undergraduate degree in hospital administration from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota; completed the Independent Study Program in Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota; and received his Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado. During his 35 years as a rural healthcare CEO, Doug has served on the Colorado and Wyoming Hospital Associations Boards of Trustees serving as President of the Wyoming Hospital Association in 2003. Doug has served on the American Hospital Association Regional 8 Board as the Wyoming delegate and alternate delegate and currently serves as the Board Chairman of the Yellowstone Insurance Captive, which insures 25 hospitals and over 300 providers in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and New Mexico. He was recently named the Quorum Health Resources CEO of the year in 2018 and has been an active Rotarian for over 20 years having served as Club president. Doug has been married to Debbi McMillan for 33 years and has three boys who all have pursued careers in the health care field.
